Spend a long weekend photographing the Big Sur coastline with its rocky shores, waterfalls, mountains and sea. We will photograph the "greatest meeting of land and water in the world"- Point Lobos in Carmel. This quote has always been credited to Robert Louis Stevenson but the statement was made by artist Francis McComas (1875-1938), who came to the area from Australia to paint.

Pt. Lobos has the most unusual rock formations and patterns than you can imagine along with crashing waves and beautiful vistas.

We will catch each sunset at the water's edge at different locations including Pacific Grove, and early morning mist in the forest. We will also do some low light photography around Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey. You will learn not only how to take an effective landscape photo but how to look for abstract and graphic patterns in nature.

Come and experience one of the most beautiful places on earth and a favorite of both Edward Weston and Ansel Adams.
