2013 Workshop Schedule

If you enjoy photography and travel, join one of our photo safaris! Our professional photographers will show you where to find great pictures and how to create them. You will receive instruction on composition, exposure, and lighting. Harrisburg Photo Safari provides training workshops for photographers at any skill level with any kind of camera. Our groups are kept small (up to 15) to provide hands on instruction based upon your individual needs.

Skill Level: Beginners, Advance Point and Shoots, and those new to dSLRs.


Getting the Most Out of Your Digital Camera


For beginners with Advance Digital Point and Shoots and those new or wanting to move to dSLR's. You will learn how the camera captures and create a digital exposure, camera settings such as; sRGB vs. Adobe RGB color spaces, resolution, camera raw and jpeg file formats, ISO settings, White Balance, preset scenes and creative modes: Aperture/Shutter Priority and Manual mode (Av, Tv and M). I will demonstrate some basic composition techniques: Rule of Thirds, GET CLOSE, Leading Lines, Framing, Point-of-View (POV), that will immediately improve your photos . Bring your camera, camera manual, extra batteries, notepad, pen and an empty memory card, as you will be formatting the memory card in class. ON Sunday, we will do hands-on photo shoots; Outdoor Nature Walk from 8-10am, Still life understanding Depth of Field Workshop from 10-noon and from 1-2 understanding shutter priority, Fee: $125 includes presentation material and catered lunch on Saturday.
